Reading Post #3 Because of Romek

1.) When I first heard David Faber speak I was kind of shocked because I could not believe that he remembered everything that happened to him. I didn't know that someone that actually survived something so tragic, can speak so strong and not be bursting out in tears about what happened. I think David Faber is the toughest person I have ever met because he got tortured, beat up, but he somehow seemed to survive with and without his family around.

2.)I think when David was with the partisans was when he was the happiest because he was safe and they were like a family to him. When David was there he would help bomb Nazi trains so they wouldn't find the partisans hideout, and he was very brave and didn't complain. I think that is why Romek was proud of David.

3.)I think that the Gustapo let David go after torturing Romek because they knew thathe really didn't know anything. I also think because of his age is also the reason why they let him go. I think that the Gustapo thought David was going to eventually die so that is why they let him live.
